My neighbors will be so happy they won't have to hear me scream.

It only took me 3 days to teach my Chihuahuas to run when I use the whistle outside using cheese and praise and then food and praise. Soon I will stop eating altogether and only praise. But I'm absolutely thrilled that it worked! My neighbors will be so happy they won't have to hear my dogs names! Food is the best motivator! Patience pays off! But it went much faster than I thought! I started indoors first so they get used to it and the treats. Then the rest is history! I couldn't be happier!

  • Hands Free Operation

7 month old labrador reacts to this like nothing else

7 month old labrador reacts to this like nothing else. We use this for more urgent reminders (e.g. when she runs to a stranger on the beach or out the garage door) and ALWAYS reward the whistle with real dried chicken delicacies to make the whistle stronger. She will even get out of confusing play with other dogs if we whistle at her. Otherwise, she may be deaf to verbal memories when distracted. We attach it to one of those elastic spiral bands and always take it for a walk because you never…

Good for learning Come on

I use this whistle to teach my dog to come. My GSP puppy can sometimes ignore my voice in the field, but he's quick to respond to high-pitched whistles. I attached it to a carabiner with a key ring so I could clip it to either its long rope handle, the lanyard, or the loop on my jeans so I had it ready when we went to practice. The bright orange color is easy to find when dropped. This whistle isn't just for hunting dogs. My brother taught his dog to whistle and he is the only dog that responds

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No.

Perfect - just what I needed!

This whistle is small, easy to see and loud enough for my needs. The volume depends entirely on how hard you blow into it. So if you're exercising indoors, for example, you can "mute" them to indoor volume, but still relax outside and use them at full volume when needed. . People CAN hear that whistle. It's not quiet at all. IF YOU EXPECT YOUR DOG TO AUTOMATICALLY COME TO THIS WHISTLE, PLEASE READ ON. Dogs are not born with "whistling" DNA. You have to train them to match the whistle. Training…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Accurate, durable whistle, but don't expect anything until you've practiced

I have bought this pipe several times in different colors. Many negative reviews are misinformed about dog behavior and their sensitivity to sound. The vast majority of dogs do not magically respond to a whistle. Even if a dog has been trained in one whistle (or tone frequency), it will most likely not respond to other frequencies. The peculiarity of these whistles is the accuracy of the sound they produce, 210.5. Dogs are extremely attuned to sound, and whistling at one frequency is different…

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
