I got engine code P0126 on my Mazda3 (2006) so after doing some research it was most likely the coolant temp sensor and/or thermostat. Just in case, I replaced both this part and the "Original Mazda Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (L35G-18-840)". The car runs great, the engine light no longer comes on. The packaging is not very professional. just a loose piece that was thrown in a brown box so I was a bit nervous because it was "authentic". But my mechanic didn't have any installation problems (at least the ones he thought were worth mentioning), so I have nothing to complain about.
