The blade just sucks for stainless steel. I had my teeth pointed in the right direction, the blade was properly tensioned, even lubricated it a bit, and when I went to cut my first piece of 16 gauge 304 stainless steel exhaust pipe, it just got really hot, started sparking and throwing smoke She took away the pipe and she barely bumped against the wall. The company contacted me and sent me a suggested blade that would work better, it worked better and I'm glad it did. I just wish they wouldn't advertise this blade for ferrous metals because it shouldn't be used on such metals. Buy blade 12 TPI for steel
