Detailed Review by Geek, Experimental Designer

Ok I think this review will answer a lot of the questions here. (English isn't my first language, but I'll try to explain) -- As a geek designer with a technical background. I have a hard time shopping online. So I hope fewer people suffer like I do. 1) "Crackle" sound: There will be a "crackle" sound every time it is turned on at room temperature. This is a normal sound from a metal container changing shape. It's not scary at all, just imagine it could be a thin metal water bottle. And again "cracks" when cooling. But based on the precision of manufacture I would surmise that if the oil is reasonably clean with minimal pumping and there is less air in the heater body then some heaters may not have this problem. 2) "Click" sound: This is often mentioned in previous reviews. It comes from the relay circuit. When the heater reaches the set temperature, it will stop working. So there is a "click" to turn off the heating power. And vice versa. - HOWEVER there is a chip frequency"click". I experimented with it for four nights with different settings: - When the power level is set to HIGH, it is very sensitive to changes in room temperature. For example: set to 73 degrees, and after a while the relay "clicks”, with the windows and doors closed it "clicks” for 2 minutes. If I keep the window half open it clicks for 1 minute which gets annoying. - BUT, when the power level is set to MEDIUM or ECO, it offers a wider range of acceptable temperature swings. I also set it to 73, it clicks and turns off at 15+ minute intervals. With the window half open, the click happens about every 15 minutes or so. I couldn't see her and fell asleep. (ECO mode has a much longer interval, I assume it allows for a bigger drop in temperature before turning on. But I never counted the time.) 3) Room size: I live in a 220m2 building. foot, about 20 square meters, ceiling 9 feet high. The walls are not insulated. One side of the room is fully fitted with 8 glass windows. old building Small window leaking. (Even before I bought it, I noticed that the heater is rated for 144 sq m, so I would say that it is quite good.) - Works well when - the outside temperature is 50 - it keeps the temperature in the room at 73 - medium throttle - (once tried 76 but keeps heating up but never reaches) - also works great when - outdoors 50 - room temperature 76 - high throttle 4) Eco mode, saves energy for sure. But I felt a definite, more than noticeable temperature difference between breaks. So I had to disable eco mode. I don't know how it works for small spaces. Because the edge of the room I'm sitting in is right next to the window. The sensors in the heating element are probably still warm enough 5) Power cord. I was a little worried when running at high wattage as the power cord gets hot. I held it and it was slightly warmer than body temp, feels like someone has a fever but no higher. So I've been hesitant to put it on my carpet because sometimes I fall asleep too deeply. 6) Other things that can be useful though: - very small and compact, I've never seen such a small heater with only 6 fins. before I came to the US. This is probably because I come from a cold region. Good thing it's good for storage. - the smell of paint. This is a common problem with heaters. disappears after the first or second use. - I heard the noise (oil bubbling) twice in the last week. So it's never been a problem. When reheating after complete cooling. - Silence, ideal for the bedroom. just the occasional clicking sound mentioned above. The background noise in my room is some kind of white noise from traffic or I don't know where. Hope that helps. I wish you a warm winter too.
