I bought this Amprobe AMP-330 1000A Clamp Meter after I bought its little brother AMP-320 600A and found it was too small than mine Fingers could cover the display I held the meter in my hand to take readings. It was also so light that the entire meter moved with the test leads when I placed it on my back or hung it on a clamp meter to take readings. This AMP-330 is slightly larger and fits my hands perfectly. It's heavy enough that the entire meter doesn't slip along with the test leads when I stand it up or hang it from the clamp to take a reading. I've been using the AMP-330 Clamp Meter for a few months now and really enjoy using it daily at work. It seems to be decently made and I've found that it has all the features I need for my normal day-to-day testing needs, plus some useful extra features that I'll use from time to time when my other application-specific testers aren't available. . . such as temperature and motor phase/rotation. The two position clamp tip is a great idea for accurate current and frequency measurements. The meter came with a decent set of three test leads and color-matched [red/black/yellow] alligator clips, a Type K temperature probe and woven polyester with a zipped carrying case. The yellow test lead is used for phase/motor rotation. This meter's display is backlit and has large, easy-to-read digits. The accuracy of the basic volt, ohm and amp meter seems decent compared to some of my other more expensive meters. It doesn't have mV or mA ranges, but most clamp meters in this price range don't seem to do that. The only negative I noticed about the AMP-320 and AMP-330 meters is that the voltage in the two AAA batteries used will drop to zero if you use them to test multiple capacitors in a short period of time. It is sufficient for the meter in capacitor mode to show a low battery warning and not allow further capacitor tests, but still show a normal battery level on the main display and allow the meter to carry out all other functions for days. This gauge was actually made by Brymen Tech Corp for Amprobe and they probably should have designed it with a 9V battery supply but other than that one issue I have no problem recommending the AMP-330 and am very happy that I bought it.
