Low Pigment School Soft Acrylic

Arteza seems to have burst onto the arts and crafts scene, determined to make an impact in almost every art supplies category and I was curious, although they seemed to be coming to a higher price than other consumables intended for their market (which I believe is true for serious student-level crafters and artists). But I love iridescent and pearlescent details, so I bought a set of 10 chameleon colors. The chameleon label should have told me that this is not what most acrylic paint manufacturers describe as iridescent, more of an interference color that changes color depending on the lighting, especially when used on darker paper. Once I accepted what I had, I let her go through her moves. When compiling the color chart I first noticed that the lightest playful pink color never appeared on any paper, if you can find that 10th flower in the above image your eyes are better than mine. The other colors were anemic and in no way resembled the rich colors on the box, and attempts to add more layers were unsuccessful. I can live with a nice clear glaze color but not at this price. In terms of consistency and brush feel this is a creamy color that feels good, it's like a golden soft mass mixed with whipped cream, unfortunately the good feel seems to come from some sort of mixing agent they used to have dilute the colors. This could be a good mix of pigments if there was enough left to bring the anemic colors to life. I suspect my general disappointment stems from two things: the hype and the price. I could find a use for these paints, in particular I think they could make a glaze, but if I can buy Martha Stewart Pearlescent Paint for half the price it will last twice as long, no thanks. PS Another weird note, this color looks weird. difficult to remove from hands, stencils and brushes. First of all black (why black?) first of all lacquer is among the main ones that they could do a frosting but if I can get Martha Stewart pearlescent paint at half price that lasts twice as long no thanks.
