Review on ๐Ÿšด Cycling in Comfort: Origin8 Pro Cork Handlebar Tape for Enhanced Grip and Ride Experience by Robert Hines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Only 1 roll needed, soft & grippy, instructions could be better.

As you can see in the picture, the right side of the steering wheel is occupied by the rotary gear selector. I only needed a roll of tape to completely cover the ends of the Origin8 Comp Light Bar - which is the short version with the ski curve - as well as the handlebars. This was the first time I've used any type of bar tape so they didn't turn out pretty but they do the job. As I quickly sprinted around my area, I noticed that the tape was comparatively softer than the original hybrid handlebars. As for the instructions. Please note that the instructions on the picture on the back of the package are only four diagrams without words. Since this is my first time using bar tape, I had to look it up on YouTube for the proper way to wrap the bars. Little did I know that each side wraps differently (clockwise or counterclockwise) and bar tape is most commonly used on handlebars with drop ends or drop bars. Because of this, I think I may have wrapped the tape the wrong way. However, since they aren't bars, the tape didn't feel like they were coming loose when tested. so maybe i got them right. Update (correction): So the plastic caps that come with the tape are really strong enough to secure the tape in the end of the handlebar. cheap feeling. They aren't strong enough to hold the tape in the handlebar so I used them to plug the end of the flat bar that doesn't have tape in it.
