Please read and check the pictures before buying. I accidentally made this purchase, "buy back to back". I saw they were for sale and when I went to work I checked them out and accidentally bought them. I immediately tried to cancel the order within 3 minutes but the seller ignored it. The shoes arrived from China within 3 weeks in a crumpled box, photo #1. I noticed the size listed on the outside of the box was not the one I accidentally bought and put it aside to use later to take care of returns. Upon closer inspection the next day, I noticed that the embossed Adidas name and logos were "missing" on the box, attributing this to the fact that the box had been beaten to hell. I decided to open the box, photo #2, and take a look at the shoes. and was amazed at the obvious fakes that were sent to me. Shoes packed in a plastic bag? No tissue paper? Or tags? Or cardboard shoe lasts? These NMD R2s looked bulky, were poorly finished and made from inferior materials. I'm a HUGE Adidas fan and almost exclusively wear Adidas trainers so I know what to look out for and I knew I was being scammed. Even on sale I paid $93.49 for quality shoes in store. Left are fakes sent to me by this seller, right is the latest pair from my real collection. Pay attention to the scales on fakes, they are very even, equal. The flakes don't have to be uniform at all like the pair on the right - or even look at the seller's stock photos and you'll see what the foam should look like. heel dimples? Real Adidas have no more than 3 dimples (in a design with a 3 stripe logo representing the Adidas brand). You will only see them brand new because after some wear some or all will be gone. Photo number 5. This is the main sign that it is a fake. No two Adidas shoes, even in the same pair, can have the same build number. The seller sent me these fakes complete with identical build numbers. See for yourself, grab a pair of your Adidas and look at the tag, last numbers. different, right? Always on Original Adidas. Photos #6 and #7 - let's ignore the quality of the K-Mart material and focus on the glue stain and material overflow. Adidas qc/qa would never let that come out of the factory. Especially when shoes sell for $100 or more. Photo #8 Look at the outsole at the top. Left is my new fake pair and right are the real ones, from seller's stock photos. See how the 3 stripes fit the original pair but not the pair the seller sent me? Adidas doesn't have different molds for the same shoe, so it can't possibly be made by Adidas. Photo #9 The materials used for the top of the fake pair are very different from the original pair. #10 - It's cute and annoying at the same time. The word "STRIPS" is misspelled on a fake pair sent to me by the Higher Fly seller. Higher Flying's own photo shows how it should be spelled correctly. The left side is a fake pair and even the stitching between the left and right shoes are strikingly different. But compared to the seller's stock photo on the right, none of my fake shoes compare to how Adidas sewed their NMD R2. These are just some of the ways I can tell if a counterfeit item has been sent to me.
