Ok, this is getting long. Pros: Unusual shape attracts attention. That's all. Cons: The air filtration sucks (no pun intended), it essentially causes the substrate to become an ammonia cesspool. I switched mine to salt and got terrible results. I removed the pneumatic part and added more bricks and Jeabo PP4. This worked fine for a while, but the small area where the water comes in contact with the fresh air means you end up with very poorly O2 saturated water. Acrylic is very thin and scratches a lot more easily than other acrylic tanks I have. .Drilling of the tank is possible, but the curved walls make it difficult to seal the cracks with a traditional bulkhead. So a canister filter or sump is out of the question and is really needed on the bubbler for proper gas exchange with the water. Otherwise there is too little water movement. You would think that a 16G globe would have a larger aperture. But it isn't, and its diameter may be 8 inches. Attaching stones is difficult. Clean up, especially since you can't see much of what you're doing. Is that so. The lighting wouldn't be strong enough for most plants, and the idea of corals living underneath it is ridiculous. For the above reasons, few fish can live in this thing. Maybe if it was shorter with a wider opening it would be a cool tank and could boast a canister without drilling.
