I have a collar with beeps and vibration and I have 3 dogs. A cross between twin terriers (albeit completely different) and a beagle. 2 boys and a girl, my little girl can go crazy, she gets to the point where she just doesn't care about horns or vibrations anymore and keeps barking while running in circles. Now I only put this on her when she comes into the backyard at night because something is bugging her about one of our 3 new neighbors. Just her, my other two are fine (and the older one has a very caring attitude). She has long, thick and coarse hair (while her twin is short haired and semi-nude) so we figured she'd be better off with a little shock and hopefully only needed once or twice, yeah. I got it because it says "little dogs". ! And yet there is a review about the horse (I have not seen until now). There are 100 shock levels, one of my sons (ex Marine) put it on his arm to test it out and make sure we weren't overdoing it. Level 1 said he thought he felt it but not sure, level 2 let his fingers tighten on their own but said it didn't really hurt as they say more like strong pins and needles. Yes, I said ex-marine, right? I should have thought about it. I put it on her, she really respects the beeps as they are different from others, I used the vibration once, immediate attention. I love the remote control so I think she can get away with it until she spooks it. Tonight I hit her for the first time, it was really on level 2, she barked at the bat like crazy. But, my God, she squeaked and did a backflip. I had to check if I burned it. I can't imagine what little dog would ever need level 100 when mine does it at level 2. She's not that small, she weighs 20 pounds. This is VERY strong in a Chihuahua or other small short haired dog. In my opinion HTN
