Poor Gravel Cleaner
The filter media that comes with the vacuum filter does not filter fine dirt and carries it back into the tank, causing the tank to become cloudy. It also has to be cycled on and off frequently as fine particles of gravel clog the screen and stop suction. When it turns back on, it empties fines from the filter chamber back into the tank. I remember the old fine soil fillers you used to rent from the pet store and they worked great but you can't find them anymore.
