I was able to use this for one day in my car when the wildfire smoke was bad and it definitely seemed to help.It does not move a ton of air as it is the size of a portable coffee container, one should never expect much air displacement from something so small, let alone run through a filter on batteries.I've found turning it on and off a little frustrating as it doesn't seem to respond the quickest.You definitely want to keep this thing UPRIGHT.

It will work on its side but not very well.Over all it did its job and was cheap. I've been using it in other situations just to test the fan and it seems to be taking my abuse pretty well.
