Glass and polyester bed set works well

This product is a combination of Creality glass bed and PEI bed. PEI comes in a film that you apply to the raw side of your glass bed. The package includes a plastic spatula to facilitate placing the PEI film on the glass. Any bubbles are worked out with a spatula. This kit also includes four clips for attaching the glass plate to the Ender 3's heating plate. The PEI side worked great on the first try. I printed a piece with an embedded logo below and it printed successfully. Previous attempts to use my original glass bed had failed where the logo was filled in, so the PEI film proved better for this print. The imprints were removed with a simple movement. I haven't had any luck with the treated glass side, which surprised me because I usually have good success with Creality's [treated] glass bed. All calibration prints were successful. Other prints had trouble sticking to glass. It turned out that the glass needs a thorough cleaning. It was either dirty when it arrived or was more likely to pick up dirt when it came into contact with the printer's hot plate while I was examining the PEI side. After cleaning it worked as expected. I found applying the PEI film to the glass was more of a challenge than I anticipated. It was a slow process as I had to draw off a small amount to get rid of the bubbles. IMHO, I'd rather pay a little more and have the PEI film applied by the pros before the kit ships.
