Comparing 4 Oven Thermometers

I bought four different oven thermometers to test: * Ademtior kitchen oven thermometer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EDY97U * Taylor oven thermometer http://www .amazon. com/gp/product/B00004XSCA* Rubbermaid Commercial Stainless Steel Oven Thermometer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KDEIZ0* Taylor TruTemp Graduated Oven Thermometer (from BedBath&Beyond) Ranges temperatures from 300 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, occasionally allowing oven and thermometers to cool down completely between tests. I immediately noticed that the Rubbermaid and TruTemp models are rubbish. Both thermometers show between 20 and 50 degrees from the other two. They were also slower at temperature control, meaning the Rubbermaid and TruTemp thermometers continued to correct their readings after preheating the oven and showing the temperature on other thermometers. The Taylor Oven Guide thermometer was off by about 15 degrees at each temperature setting. (Compared to the Ademitor and my oven settings, but since the readings were consistently 15 degrees different at all temperatures, it's clear that this was due to misalignment of the glass tube. Luckily, this is easily corrected by simply rotating the tube to the left moved or right) Between the Ademitor and the Taylor oven rail, the Ademitor is a bit more legible in my opinion, but the base is too small making it easy to fall through the oven rack. The oven rail has a much wider base so it fits perfectly.
