
Update:I finally STOPPED following the directions and did what I know from baking bread not in a machine. I added the yeast to the water to allow it to dissolve, and then it all mixed perfectly and made a great loaf. I had tried bread machine yeast, active dry yeast, bread flour, all purpose flour and every combination- this is the only thing that has worked, and now works no matter the recipe, as long as I allow the yeast to touch the water.———I have tried 5 loaves now, a different recipe each time, careful to watch the order and the loaf size, and each have failed. I can see it’s not mixing well- there are chunks of flour along the sides.I have used a bread machine successfully before, (my old one I had for years that I got at a garage sale- worked great until the kids somehow shoved it off the counter) so I’m completely stumped. I don’t have the box anymore, otherwise I’d be returning it. So disappointing
