I have a slightly crazy Jack Russell Terrier who never stops moving. While he's a lot of fun and a lot of fun for us humans to watch, he can easily overexert himself because he just won't stop running, jumping, and playing. We noticed that he often hobbled and held up one of his hind legs while walking. The vet couldn't find any obvious problems, so we decided to give this green lipped mussel oil a try. We've been giving him one pill a day for about a month now (he's 12lbs) and it's only been since we started him that he's noticed that he's holding his hind leg up so I'm very happy. The gelcaps are tiny, even smaller than a krill oil capsule. The first few times I had to persuade the dog to take the pill, but now she takes it right out of my hand and eats it. I don't have to cover it in peanut butter or hide it in a treat. He seems to like the flavor the way it is. I put them in my daily vitamin box along with my own supplements so it's easier for me to remember to give them to him every morning. And that's enough to stop my dog's lameness. I'll use up that bottle and then see how he behaves - if he starts holding his leg again I'll take him back to the vet but also probably put him on this supplement indefinitely. I think it will benefit any dog (or human). You don't have to wait until a problem arises to give your dog this supplement. I think daily intake would be beneficial for any dog, injured or not.
