Perhaps, I have an unusual use for these gloves. I have a 3D printer. Depending upon the size of the object being printed, it may be harder, or not, to remove the object from the print bed after printing. The object must initially "stick" to the print bed so expect it to be somewhat difficult to dislodge later. Typically, I use a "painter's scraper" to remove the object after printing. This scraper has a very sharp, replaceable, blade since it IS a paint scraper. While I try to keep one hand away from the scraper's force, more than once I have been jabbed as the object breaks away from the surface and the scraper hits my free hand. If the scraper just "breaks" the part somewhat "loose", I use a standard putty knife to fully remove the part.So, I thought that these gloves might help save some cuts on my free hand, some of which were severe and almost begging for stitches. So, I ordered. I was surprised that no metal filaments were included in the gloves but maybe I just missed this in the description. At first glance, they look very strong. I also liked the "fit". They fit just perfectly, although I was not looking for something that allowed full finger control.So now, I always put one glove on my free hand. The first few times, there were no slipups - the scraper or putty knife did not impact my free hand. Then later, after the scraper had loosened the part, I tried to use the "non-sharp" putty knife to fully remove the part. There was a sudden slip as the part broke loose and the putty knife hit my gloved hand. Luckily, my hand was not hurt. BUT, the glove was damaged (a slit in the material) so that I no longer trust the glove when using the sharper scraper.Although the price of these was very low, I'm considering trying to use those "$1" brown gloves you see everywhere. They may not be as tactile as these gloves, but they may protect as much. If you are using these gloves in any kind of very sharp environment, be very careful until you understand their capabilities.
