I've never had this problem with foam tape before oh my god the adhesive backing on this foam is a nightmare to work with, it's like duct tape for carpets, like a gel held onto the foam by a mesh that it instantly transferred to anything and everyone at the slightest sliding touch it kept sticking to my palette knife trying to put this foam in the flowerpot, even the slightest mistouch on the rim made such a mess, more dirt soiled the black plastic tarp that i was trying to stay separated below the tape line with this tool, i had to keep wiping the steel spatula with rubbing alcohol but this alcohol did NOT remove the sticky slime from the plastic tarp like acetone, it just smeared and spread worse than solvent, Luckily I have a can of rubber cement solvent (pure heptane) that gets this gooey solved the mess perfectly. ------- (Original Review) ------- Well, that's interesting. I never thought there was such a big difference in weight between different foam gaskets. But there is. Before ordering this roll I already had a roll of GRAY foam (which I used up heavily). I just ordered BLACK and WHITE foam rolls and they both just arrived. All 3 brands have the same dimensions. They all feel equally solid, nothing noticeably different. But yes, black foam rollers appear much heavier than white ones, or conversely, white ones appear weightless compared to black ones. So light they could just float away. So I weighed them. There is one big difference. The WHITE buns weighed 45g, the BLACK buns weighed 115g, that's almost a triple weight difference. I got curious so I dug some gray scum out of the basement, cut off 5cm of each variety and weighed each in mg on a scale.
