AmazonBasics Rounded 3.5-inch Door Hinges Review

These hinges look nice and work well BUT. Screws are useless. They are short and skinny. They pull right out of the door and door frame. Had to go to Home Depot to get the correct screws. That way it was still cheaper than buying loops from HD/Lowes/Menards.

We bought these to replace the flashy gold hinges that screamed '90s. Came individually wrapped to avoid scratches. They are well made, durable and very easy to assemble. They're not too dark and go perfectly with the polished bronze doorknobs that we bought separately. They fit perfectly and look WAY better than those horrible gold ones! They are exactly as pictured/described and arrived on time.

They cost half what they sell at hardware stores. If you replace a lot of hinges, you save a lot of money! The oil bronze looks great. The screw size is ok, but my package was missing 9 screws! I didn't count at first so I only noticed the last door. The WORST thing about them is the sound they make when you open or close the door! It looks like some kind of glue - it doesn't even creak. It's annoying. Hope the lube helps. All in all a good price.

These hinges arrived at my home individually wrapped in mini plastic bags. As I examined the items, I noticed that they were all scratched. Some were more scratched than others. It was also very difficult to open and close. Not sure if this improves with use or not. They have a good weight and make a quite robust impression. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these as I've noticed that some of my doors don't close properly as if the orientation is wrong. I've also noticed sticky clicks when opening and closing the hinges. After reading other reviews on here one of the users recommended replacing them entirely with Kessler which I did and now the doors close properly and that noise is gone. I've just bought 3-18 packs and all 3 boxes had the same issues which I think Revain (and you) should be aware of. Perhaps the Chinese supplier has changed, or their manufacturing process needs to be reviewed and updated, especially if Revain intends to keep its good name on the packaging.
