This magnetic phone holder has 4 small magnets inside. Phone cases like Rokform have 1 solid magnet. If you use the built-in magnet case. Your magnets will go haywire and make a bad connection. I tried removing the magnets and instead glued the included metal plate where the 4 magnets are. But the rubber was too thick and uneven for a good connection. :-(-- Update: I flipped each magnet so the poles were facing the same direction. But when I did that the magnets started to crumble. Now it works. But my phone hangs a bit compared to the Rokform -Version.I think this is too much rubber or rubber needs a hexagonal texture.
