Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Enhanced Search-Optimized Mini Thermal Receipt Printer from Adafruit [ADA597] by Nathan Akers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to set up and use

I was able to set up and run this module in about an hour with an Arduino Nano. The example code and tutorial on the Adafruit website is correct. I was also able to design a 3D printable case for it, with room for a spare paper roll and a control board for power and Bluetooth connectivity. The libraries are pretty easy to use. It's not directly compatible with the ESC/POS command set, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Just make sure you have a power supply that can handle the current, as thermal printers require quite a bit of power. I used a 9V 2A DC power supply and it works great with it. If you use 5V 1.5A you may find that it doesn't work so well.
