Finally I've found a surge protector that meets my needs. As a designer, I'm always looking for ways to hide the cords while keeping things functional. For this project, this is the best power strip I could find that would allow me to rotate the outlet to hide ugly plugs/cords behind a credenza, while keeping other outlets accessible for daily use. I chose black for a dark planked wall, and mounted it with screws. It looks quite nice, is sturdy, and now allows much needed functionality in a space where there was only one outlet. The 8 foot cord is perfect for me to have the outlet on the other side of the credenza opposite the receptacle outlet. The only feature i wish it had is a rotating plug for the wall. For me this would have been nice because I have a Snappower usb faceplate on my horizontally installed receptacle, and this plug has to be inserted in the top outlet which covers the bottom one. Because i need to use both outlets, I ended up using a 1-ft extension cord with a flat angled plug to clear up space for a second plug. I've included pics so you can see what the hell I'm talking about. But this won't be an issue for most people.
