The privacy protection is much, much worse than that offered by the 3M filters. I would not feel confident using my laptop next to anyone using this filter, and upon applying this to my laptop and looking at it from different angles, I immediately went and bought a 3M filter. I would think that anyone looking for "privacy" would not find their needs met by this product.I am using this product for a brand new Macbook Pro 13" with touchbar. It prevents the lid from closing securely. Sleep mode does appear to activate, but the lid is a bit loose, and I could imagine it coming open a bit in my laptop backpack, perhaps triggering wake-up or allowing dirt and dust in.The packaging and build quality were good. It fit my screen well. It's easy to apply and remove. The image quality looking straight on is quite good. The webcam slider is a nice touch.
