My god how I love this brush! I use it for one purpose and only one - shoe shine. Its tough bristles can do things that old toothbrushes and other tools can't. It will: (1) remove dried, dried-in dirt from hiking boots and athletic shoes (cleats, you found a pair!), (2) remove salt, sand, and grit from the boots of those living in the snowplow areas, (3) sand remove beach shoes before putting them in the washer or hosing down, (4) remove dried dog poo from mocked no-wash or dog/cat bugs (oops!), (5) remove food residue from non-slip professional hospitality shoes worn by people, flip the hamburgers etc. This is a great tool for a large, messy, multi-species family. Note: I read about palmyra palms. before purchasing and I am very impressed with this useful plant. Second note: don't use this for anything fancy! This is a SERIOUS brush. It can remove grout or skin! Third note: Leather and synthetic leather shoes and rubber soles remain intact and intact with frequent brushing.
