First off it's under $20 on Revain so my one exception doesn't matter but it's still worth mentioning in case the manufacturer wants to make a slight improvement. This device does what it says on the tin and yes, it boils water in less than 4 minutes. It's great for cooking anything from ramen to frozen veggies, it's definitely good for dorm rooms, RV's, small business owners who might want to have dinner in their backyard, etc. You're only limited by your imagination. There's a lot to be said for the wait staff, adding the ingredients, turning on and cooking. When cooking rice or pasta or anything else, it's best to stir often to keep ingredients from sticking and burning. It's basically a HOT platter after you generally don't throw your food in a high temp pot and let it sit for 30 minutes and expect to cook food when you return if you want take away You sous vide. My only compatible cable, I think it was even advertised as "detachable" - it's NOT, but it doesn't matter, but they should move it 180 degrees from where it's currently attached ie right under the handle, even just 90 degrees back would be a huge improvement as it is now I find I should essentially wrap it around the stove to be able to plug it in, the only other worst place they could have chosen , would be directly in front of the device. But in the Grand Scheme this is a minor correspondence, so while inconvenient it is workable. Again less than $20 so what am I complaining about? I spend more than that every week to fill up my gas tank. .
