Review on Habitrail 62635 OVO Club Trainer by Aries Gregg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, quiet but a bit heavy

Winners of the Habitrail Ovo line continue to use this balance bike. It's quiet (but not silent), easy to assemble, easy to disassemble and clean. The wheel diameter is slightly larger than average which is good for Syrian hamsters like mine. The blue and white spinning wheel is actually a split design with an intentional gap between the halves of the wheel. The slot allows small debris from the wheel to fall into an external white plastic stationary chute located beneath the wheel. Or you can fit the included black rubber band around the rim to close this gap and keep dirt in the rim gap between the two wheel halves. As other reviewers have pointed out, this device is heavy. . I have one where all of the weight rests on a solid blue and white shell so the wheel spins freely. The two holes provide more flexibility in device placement and also allow for multiple I/O. The locking ring helps to keep the desired position. I use both input and output in my setup. The white plastic on the body is a bit soft and my hamster is already chewing on it. Time will tell how long it lasts. So far she seems to like her balance bike. UPDATE May 22, 2012: My eldest son who sleeps in the bedroom downstairs next to the office which has a hammy cage says he uses his balance bike every night. She obviously likes the bike, but that also means the bike is just quiet, not quiet.
