Need a new 6 inch caliper. I'm tired of buying cheap calipers every few years because the cheap one breaks. Also, I'm tired of needing at least two sentences to check their accuracy. My decision to buy Fowler over other popular Japanese brands was based on the following: (1) American made Fowler and lifetime warranty. (2) Fowler's excellent reputation. (3) Easy to read display. (4) The extreme accuracy of these calipers - I get the same reading every time. No more deviations of +/- 0.0005 on the same part. They come with a great quality storage case. Better than other quality calipers I've used in the past. I could have bought a caliper for a little less but I'm happy to report that I got the quality I paid for. No more multiple measurements and averaging. Now I have the confidence that I can only measure once and know it's a measurement.
