I first saw these Wincor flameless candles at a friend's and actually thought the flame was real until I took a closer look. I liked them so much that my friend sent me a set as a gift and now everyone who comes to visit me notices how realistic these candles look. The set contains 5 candles in 5 different heights (4-8 inches). The candle bodies are made of wax and have a "melted top edge" that mimics real candles. The candles operate on AA batteries (2 each) and have a "master" switch on the bottom of each candle. Once the switch is in the "on" position, the candles can be fully controlled with a small remote control that has on/off, brightness, candle (flicker) and 2/4/6/8 hour timer modes. They are easy to use and, most importantly, completely safe for long-term use. I bought 2 more sets as gifts for family members and will most likely buy more. They will be shipped securely in a pre-formed foam container inside a cardboard box. I've had no problems, they work great and are the most realistic artificial candles I've seen. This set is great value and would make a great gift for anyone. These candles make the perfect gift for those living with the elderly (my mother-in-law loves them and loves that they have a timer that turns on and off automatically). Highly recommended.
