This device works very well except for one issue that invalidates my use case. You get the full speed available for AC WiFi. The speed test for my connection also shows everything I pay for. The disqualifying issue is that the adapter resets every 40 seconds. This causes a latency bump of around 250 ms in the game. Resetting leads to packet loss. Losses are constant and regular. This is for Windows 10 and the latest driver for the device. I ended up using another device that didn't show the same intermittent reset, even though that device also uses the same driver for a slightly older chip from the same manufacturer. Reconnects are fast enough for sessions to persist. This is only an issue with live gameplay. For almost every other use, this isn't a problem (and probably goes unnoticed by most users).
