Review on OTC 4520 Differential Bearing Puller by Darrin Lucas

Dana 44 carrier bearings cannot be removed The metal rods are very soft and the tips that match the bearing were easily deformed/scraped on first use. After that it was useless. I have decided to return the product rather than sharpen the tips again. The cross brace is designed to keep the arms from bending and the tips from slipping and breaking, but the cross brace is too tall to use. If you decide to buy this tool and try it out, placing a large C-clip right next to the tips to keep them under the bearing will *might* work. At least it would give you a better chance of working properly. I am very disappointed because this OTC tool is supposed to be a premium tool. There are cheaper versions in many places. I was hoping to spend more money and get better quality, but that didn't happen.
