Great product in the training and behavioral area

I have an 18 month old Labrador Retriever and live downtown so I still rarely have the opportunity to walk my dog loose and had to keep him close so he wouldn't jump on people and swallow anything he found on the ground. I got this control cord because I've tried to let go of it multiple times and he's completely forgotten about me or the training he's been getting so far and I wanted something that would allow me to keep him under control when needed would be, but still let him be a dog and run around. I used to have a long nylon rope about 15 feet long. It was too short, it was flimsy so it got tangled easily and I got a lot of rope burns the second time I used it. This cord is just the right length as my dog doesn't really want to go further than 30ft from me and the cord is thick enough that you can easily handle it even if you forgot to wear gloves which is still recommended . .I was initially concerned about the size of the clip. He seems a little weak for a Labrador and I was afraid he might break him. One day he actually ran away and I had to stop him and the clamp seemed strong enough but I learned that the purpose of using a control cord is to really just stop the dog from doing what he likes, but you don't like (running). ). and jumping on other people, chasing some dogs, eating poop) but the rest of the time your dog should just be dragging them around. The smaller clip makes the overall area a bit smaller and your dog will forget he has a leash quicker, so I'd say that's actually an advantage. Otherwise I can't say anything more. I can confidently let my dog run, it also helps me with his training in new places, and I no longer worry about him running away for some reason.
