I bought this unit for a newly installed motherboard in an older HP dc7600CMT case. Works absolutely perfectly. However, I can't say that the new motherboard cost 2 cents even though I paid $153.99 for it (ASRock tech support couldn't figure out that it would NOT go online and kept telling me to go online and download more drivers). It returned to the seller for a full refund, but I kept the LG DVD player and installed a more expensive INTEL 3.0 z77 Sli board (zero problems). Yes, quality control is very important.
