I started making and selling inexpensive candles a few months ago and these were the first jars I bought to fill my candles with. They weigh 8 ounces total but comfortably hold about 6 ounces of wax with a suitable wick length. (1/4 inch) and the lid still fits - which fits well. The jars don't get too hot while the candle is burning, which is ideal, and scorching is non-existent or minimal if you position the wick off-center or cover it with a lid to extinguish the flame. I was able to clean and reuse the glasses. I had no problems with candles burning in it. The width is perfect for an even burn with 1 wick and I get 35-50 hours of candle burning with these jars which is amazing given the amount of wax! I had a few small dents but nothing prevented them from using them. them, assuming it was down to shipping, but he didn't mind either, as it didn't affect how it lay on the surface or how it burned. I think the unit price is a little high if you want to order large quantity. I am assuming this is due to buying from Revain and not directly from the supplier as I have found glasses that are cheaper. If you want to use them to make hobby candles I highly recommend them.
