At first I had high hopes for this item. I just broke my 15 year old glue gun and was looking for a replacement that ran hot, used regular glue sticks and lasted a while. That should not be a problem. I'm expecting a glue gun lying around somewhere. Not this one. I first applied this to a lamp project and used glue to electrically insulate and seal. I was able to use about 6 glue sticks when on the seventh the grip (the plastic grip) in the gun broke and the glue stopped advancing. Wow, six glues get through the gun and it's broken forever and I have to spend more of my hard earned cash on another one. While we're here, this one is rated at 60/100w (much higher power rating than the one it replaced and yet the flow rate at the 100w setting isn't great and I'm wondering if it'll make the 30- W heat is even worth I mean there is no guarantee anywhere in the ad and now I have to spend more money.
