Generally everyone chooses 2.5" inlets and outlets, although in reality, especially with this type of muffler, there are few limits to help with the back pressure "There are literally 2 small baffles welded into this muffler. What I found is that you end up getting unwanted noise/tones out of the exhaust pipe. It sounds like you have You just cut off the exhaust pipe on the CAT.Especially With the one-inlet two-outlet muffler like this one,reduce the diameter of the outlet a little and you'll get a better sound.
