I ordered a black and red set especially for red. Why is it so hard to find the perfect shade of red? I always test my new polishes on practice nails to see how they work and what the colors look like. The red color is pretty pretty, but it's a little difficult to work with. I got full coverage (opacity) with 2 coats painting the whole nail, but for nail art I couldn't get the same solid red (see candy stripe nail) even with 4 coats. I also found that the red polish was a bit thick, so it took me more attention to get even, smooth layers. The black paint worked very well. It went on smooth, took 2 coats to give full coverage and was easy to use for nail art. I even tested it with a stamp plate and found it worked way better than expected. As others have pointed out, the bottles are not full. They appear to be half full. And the bottles are made of plastic, which is not suitable for long-term storage. For the price this is a good set of polishes but I'm not sure I would order them again.
