Very sturdy metal frame. A bit on the small side though.
Assembly is a breeze. Only need the enclosed hex wrench. Very sturdy metal frame. The drawers are flimsy. Basically thin cardboard covered by cloth. But it matches the description if you read it. But I am fine with this because it is used sparingly in guest bedroom. I think it looks pretty cool. Make sure you read the dimensions before purchasing. But for light use (I would not recommend for kids room) this is a great bargin.
