Review on Pop Lock PL3400C Chrome Tailgate by Fort Steffen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No Fort Knox and a good punk stop

So it won't make your truck as secure as a factory lock but it will certainly deter those punks looking for an opportunity to commit a crime. I spend a lot of time in remote areas hunting and hiking, and I stow most of my gear under the sleeping platform in the back of my truck. Now my RV is locked, but even when locked, a sharp tug opens the back door. To solve this problem, I'm trying to find a way to park when my truck is nailed to a tree. This little device has saved me so much trouble! When I received it I was skeptical; How could a small piece of metal do anything to keep my tailgate locked? Well, after about 10 minutes (no tools or help) I installed and tried it. Now I'm imagining if I pulled really hard I would break something and the back door would either open or it would take a mechanic to fix the mechanism to open it. someone REALLY wants to get in, they probably will, but if you want to prevent a nosy punk from opening the back door or someone trying to quickly steal your back door while you're at the mall, that's enough to get them moving on. for easier prey.
