My setup; I have a HB 7, 10 and 12 G3N coil with nmea2k kit and ethernet switch. There is also an I-Pilot connection to my Ultrara motor and claws. Yamaha 150sho This box does exactly what it should. I get data from the engine as needed. Operating hours, fuel, temperature, speed. Yes, it doesn't get a header from the head unit. However, I spoke to HB about this, they said that the NMEA network works independently of the head unit. Essentially, it acts as an indicator for the network, not an attachment to it. Finally, if your device doesn't show what you want, contact a car dealer. I ran to my local dealer. Have noticed that there are several sealed connectors under the hood that need to be plugged in.
