Mount will not work on most if not all mountain bike stems. The picture shows it on a cruiser style diner. On Trek and Diamondback mountain bikes (one 26″ and the other 24″), the top of the mount makes direct contact with the handlebar stem and the bottom of the mount makes direct contact with the handlebar mount. the vertical of the bar ends and the inclined part begins. So if you don't want the top and bottom of your phone to be in direct contact with the metal of the stem, don't buy one. It will scratch/damage your phone instantly. For reference: I have tested it with both iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 8, 26" Trek and 24" Diamondback. All four permutations are useless / recipe for phone failures. I am returning an item that clearly *does not* match the item description.
