This is a flathead screwdriver that will indicate if there is power (hot) on the wire. It is easy to use, you just need to touch 1(one) bare wire with the flathead tip and touch the metal end on the handle and the bulb will light up when the wire is hot. Rated for 100V-500V AC. Good: Only 1 (one) bare wire needs to be touched. Bad (not really!): Because it's a flathead screwdriver, you can't plug it directly into a flat (US) outlet plug to test for electrical current (but who wants to plug it into an outlet anyway).
