Stylish and quiet with a cool breeze and bright light

This stylish ceiling fan looks great in our family room. It's very easy to install and took less than an hour with one person (if I didn't have to troubleshoot the RF receiver installation it would be a lot quicker). I installed the short stem because it's in front of the TV and the bottom of the light easily reveals the view 11.5 inches from the ceiling. I didn't put the engine cover on to access the reversing switch and it doesn't look bad after removing the ugly stickers - you may notice it right away because your attention is on it right after installation, but I don't think so don't think about it any further. The fan is so quiet that you can hardly hear it at low or medium power, and at high speed all you can hear is the sound of air movement. The light is very bright and while it would be nice if it was dimmed a little, I haven't used it as a night light so I don't really care. It would be nice to be able to switch bulbs as everyone has different lighting preferences but I like bright LEDs. A few installation tips: 1. Assemble the whole fan first. 2. The RF receiver fits snugly in the hanging bracket and is difficult to maneuver if you connect the cables before mounting. I recommend installing the RF receiver in the bracket first, then putting the fan in the bracket, and then connecting all the wires.3. I installed a switch (sold separately) and remote and am glad I did. I hung the remote on the opposite side of the room so we can control it from either side.
