I like this fan. I bought three of these. The assembly and installation process was not difficult. The LED is nice and bright. These things silently move a ton of air and are rock solid, nothing wobbles or vibrates. Our standard blankets are 8 feet. I used the shortest mounting bar and YES YOU CAN use the engine cover if you use the shortest mounting bar, although the manual says you can't. What I didn't know when I wrote the review is that after only 2 hours of use it emits a loud very annoying humming noise. I hate using the fan now because of the noise. This stylish ceiling fan looks great in our family room. It's very easy to install and took less than an hour with one person (if I didn't have to troubleshoot the RF receiver installation it would be a lot quicker).
