7 seater trunk mat FITS one way

The first thing I look at is the reviews that the 7 seater trunk mat doesn't fit and that's because they don't use it properly! The removable cover that covers the extra trunk has two orientations. I think when the car is delivered it usually comes lip down and then raises at the back to meet the edge of the folded third row seats. The carpet cannot be used in this way. Take this lid and turn it over. Now the lip lifts off the edge of the trunk and the rest is then flush with the seats down! This is how the 7 trunk mat is designed. See the photos I've attached. Now let's move on to the product itself. Bought a mat in the trunk with covers for the third row seat backs. Seat mats are great because they have Velcro that keeps them in place whether the seats are upright or folded down. The trunk mat has no velcro or anything like that underneath. That means it can slide around a bit. It fits pretty well so it doesn't move much during normal use. Another thing to note is that the trunk mat has a raised lip all the way around to keep spills out. That's great, except when the third row folds down, that raised edge stays on the trunk mat. This means that the trunk mat does not form a completely flat surface with the seat back mats. Now I can't imagine how this could be designed to avoid this and keep the spill protection with just the trunk mat. I agree with that, but just wanted to point this out in case it might cause problems for others. I think if you have a big box it can't lay flat on both mats. Overall, the product makes a robust and easy-care impression. The fit is good and I love the Model Y logo. I haven't seen a better alternative to 7 seater trunk mats, so it's good enough for now.
