Review on AMD Processor Wraith Cooler YD1700BBAEBOX by Mateusz Gsiewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

The processor does not have a competitor in terms of the price-to-performance ratio (with the possible exception of the R5 1600). The bundled cooler exceeded my expectations in terms of how quickly it cooled things down, therefore my satisfaction with it was quite high. Even if Vishera previously came with boxed coolers, the difference between them and the new Wraith is night and day. The new Wraith is not only efficient, but it also does not generate noise, which was the old coolers' greatest flaw. The RGB backlight, which is linked with the motherboard and, in general, gives the cooling system a beautiful appearance, is a pleasant surprise and a welcome addition. Although it is not extremely practical, it is really attractive. When playing games, a 1080Ti makes everything move at lightning speed. They state that the frames with it are less than with items from Intel, but since I don't make it a habit to play with the frame counter continually on, I don't experience any discomfort as a result of this. I frequently bring home hefty CorelDraw projects (150-500 MB with a high number of raster objects) and Photoshop to finish the work; it is a joy to work with this processor in programs like these! In general, an excellent solution for your money, if you get a little confused with overclocking; however, if you consider the percentage exclusively in a gaming solution, you should think about purchasing an i5 or i7 of the eighth generation, especially because there you get the maximum result right out of the box. In general, an excellent solution for your money; however, if you get a little confused with overclocking. Online games like CS:GO, World of Tanks, and Warface, and others like them, place a strong focus on the performance of one or more cores. CoffeeLake is an absolute must!

Pros
  • 1) Performance; 2) Cost; 3) Efficient use of heat; 4) Comprehensive package; 5) Soldering between the heat-distributing cover and the die
Cons
  • It will work, but by default it will start at 2133 MHz, and the performance of this CPU significantly depends on the speed of the memory; it follows from the first point, but even so, dry performance per core is lower than that of a competitor. It is true that if both devices use the same frequency, the difference will be cancelled out; however, no one will knowingly lower the frequency of either the 7700 or the 8700 to 3.7-3.9 GHz.
