Here are my experiences installing a MyQ hub and sensors. When I decided to buy this product, I read a lot of reviews and drew attention to those who had problems and were able to solve them themselves or with the help of tech support. After opening the boxes and making sure everything was in its place, I first downloaded the MyQ app to my phone. From then on I followed the instructions in the app. I didn't have to enter a serial number, I just scanned the QR code and it was recognized. I then entered my network password and was ready to connect the door sensors. Keep in mind that I wasn't in a garage at the time I did this, but in a house relatively close to the router, about 30 feet away. I moved into the garage and placed the sensors at the very top of the garage door (I have two doors). ). There were no problems connecting sensors to the hub, it took about a minute for each sensor. At this point I dragged the instructions for my garage door opener motor (Genie 2028 Professional Line) onto the programming button located there. When this was discovered I activated the programming and followed the instructions in the MyQ app. It took a few tries to open the first garage door but it finally worked and when it works your garage door will open. I managed to tie the second novice on the first try, it takes about a minute. If you have this model's opener, it's a big, square, raised button, hold it down until the purple light flashes, then press the pairing button on the app. I ran up and down after a few cycles, the only issue I had was browsing devices. The default view is side by side. However, I put them in the list view so you can see both doors, instead of scrolling from side to side I couldn't open the doors in that view. When I looked back to the side, the doors opened as before. So the default device view is the view you need to use to open and close doors. Works great with my iPhone and iPad, I have a Belkin router that will be replaced with a multi-band router soon and will update my review to let you know how it's going. additional door sensor. Well, the single door sensor came with a bracket. The sensor that came in the box with the grommet didn't have a mount so I had to use the Velcro that came with it (it would have been cool to have a mount). Before I did anything, I downloaded the app to my phone and then started to set it up. and during the installation process, I had no problems connecting the hub to the router, or the sensors to the hub, or the hub to the garage door opener motors. So far everything works as advertised. Once I place the CCTV camera in the garage I will use the Revain Keys app to place the packages in the garage.
