Intermittent, unreliable

This is my second sensor alongside the one for the main garage door that comes with the MyQ hub. The main garage sensor has worked flawlessly so far. But an additional sensor reports that the door is open, although it is actually closed. It takes some effort to get the door and app/hub back in sync, and it requires using wired buttons. It's annoying when you leave the house to get a warning that the door is still open, to turn around to find the sensor lied. Not to mention spending another…

Installed two hubs and 3 sensors, no problem

I installed two hubs (one of the old versions with 2 door sensors and one of the new hubs with one sensor). I don't use this for Amazon shipping, just for opening and monitoring doors remotely and it works pretty well for that. As long as my WiFi is working properly (they're a good distance from my router), I can open them when I'm not at home with no problems. I pick up loads and it helps a lot so I don't have to be present. I had no problems with the installation, I went through everything…

WARNING. Cool to the Fail

WARNING. There's a problem I didn't know about. .The problem actually only exists if you use the optional automatic door locking functions. The dog went out for the last time before bed, closed the house around 10 p.m. The sensor failed and the application encountered an error that I was not warned about. So I woke up around midnight to the garage door opening. Apparently I got scared because I thought someone was going to break into my house. It took me some time to understand the problem. The

It's amazing when it works; extremely annoying when it isn't!

It works, but the whole system has serious flaws. I have cats that have access to the garage and like to kick the door to see if they can get in or out before the door closes. If for some reason the door doesn't close 3 times, you can only reactivate the controller by manually closing the door from home and pressing the communication button on the sensor. Sometimes the sensor just disappears from the myQ app or website until you delete everything and add it back. There's no excuse for a device…

Totally unreliable - want my money back

I have two garage doors and initially used MyQ - this sensor often incorrectly detects if the door is open or closed and when that happens you have to physically get out and fix it it by repeatedly opening the door. Tried changing the battery - to no avail. This is a nuisance. What's scary is that we've had multiple phantom door openings since installing it, which is exactly the opposite of what you want and the only reason we bought it is to keep our doors locked at all times. This once…

Garage Door Opener Upgrade

Here are my experiences installing a MyQ hub and sensors. When I decided to buy this product, I read a lot of reviews and drew attention to those who had problems and were able to solve them themselves or with the help of tech support. After opening the boxes and making sure everything was in its place, I first downloaded the MyQ app to my phone. From then on I followed the instructions in the app. I didn't have to enter a serial number, I just scanned the QR code and it was recognized. I then…
