Of all the network IP cameras I've ever bought, this is the easiest I've installed. Although I'm more tech savvy, I was initially a bit confused about how POE cameras work. I searched YouTube and contacted Amcrest who were beyond patient and helpful. Since I only wanted to buy a POE camera and didn't need a POE switch, the Injector was the perfect solution for me. Also, I accidentally found an old network switch, so now I really had no reason to spend more than $50 on a POE switch - I could just use a $19 POE injector with my current switch (or without it, since I only have one). camera now). Of course, using my Switch, I can add 3 more POE cameras when I'm ready. The Amcrest POE injector is very easy to install. The instructions in the supplied manual are quite simple. You don't need a PhD. in the technique of following them. However, I think Amcrest can provide more details on setup options or even provide a simple "How To" video on their website; However, the website itself could use a small update. But with the manual and a few quick YouTube searches, setting up this injector was easy - follow the diagrams, plug everything in and you're done! Can I recommend it? Yes! If you already have a small network switch and only need to power your camera, or if you only plan to use it with a single camera, this is the one for you. It's quite economical and gets the job done perfectly for my particular application and also gives me the ability to expand my setup in the future. By the way, ignore the pictures I posted, they are from two different setups I tested, one was indoors and the other, cruder setup is in the garage where it ends.
