Review on πŸ”¬ The Ultimate Fermentation Kit: Masontops Complete Mason Jar Set for Easy DIY Vegetable Fermenting by Jeremy Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not the most expensive but the best quality.

This set comes in a very sturdy box. The dimensions of the box are 8 x 11.5 x 4.5 inches. Banks are not included. So you must either already have them or buy them separately. It also comes with a fermentation guide/recipe book to get you started. Aside from the veggies you want to ferment, you'll also need to buy salt separately. I use sea salt, but almost any type of salt will do, as long as it's pure salt and nothing has been added, like iodine, an anti-caking agent, and so on. Your water should not contain chlorine. You can use filtered water. . .spring water. . or distilled water. Some foods, like sauerkraut, typically don't need water as long as the cabbage is fresh and "juicy." I'll admit that Masontops isn't always the "cheapest" option, but their products are quality. In fact, this is the second set for me. I lent the first set to a friend and they didn't return it. . . . so i just bought another one. I'm currently fermenting garlic. . .hot peppers. . . Sauerkraut. . . cherry tomatoes. . . Celery. . . and purple onions.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
