This little answering machine works great. The sound is clear enough. I can't understand the negative reviews. Maybe it has something to do with quality control. Luckily mine is in excellent condition despite falling on the table a few times. The volume can be easily regulated. You can choose how many times the line rings before the system answers the call. It also has a three-digit remote access code. Dial from numbers from 500 to 999. It also has a call monitoring feature that allows you to hear the caller's voice before you pick up the phone. Very useful, especially when annoying telemarketers. The recording time is only 19 minutes, but that's enough for me. This is a simple answering machine, so the operation is very simple, no complicated instructions.
